The ideal time for a safari in Rajasthan depends on the kind of wildlife experience you’re looking for. In general, the best season runs from October to April, when the weather is pleasant and wildlife sightings are excellent across most reserves.For leopard safaris in destinations like Jhalana and Jawai, sightings are rewarding throughout the year, while the winter months are especially beautiful for birding experiences in places like Keoladeo, Khichan, Sambhar, and Desert National Park.The summer season, from April to June, can also be particularly rewarding for big cat sightings, as animals are more frequently seen around water sources. While we always try our best to accommodate last-minute requests, we strongly recommend booking your safari well in advance to ensure the best availability for stays and safari permits.For most wildlife experiences in Rajasthan, especially during peak season, booking at least 4–12 months ahead is advisable. Safari entries are regulated, and national parks operate with a limited number of vehicles allowed per drive.
